Life is good here and I relish my career, which allows me to devote most of my waking hours to the area's delicious offerings—Dungeness crabs and outstanding Seattle-area restaurants, juicy peaches and world-class wines.
For more than a decade, I've been writing about the joys of cooking and dining, primarily for the Northwest table. But I have also written about the Cuervo family distillery in Tequila, Mexico; French spa towns; salmon fishing on Kodiak Island; New York's venerable Four Seasons restaurant; and many other subjects. The fun never ends when food and wine, friends and good times are involved. Thanks for coming to visit.
Summer in the Northwest means salmon season (along with berry season, cherry season, Walla Walla sweet onion season...gee, we do have it good up here). But one stellar run of salmon, those from the Yukon River, is having a challenging year.<
